Hi! I'm James Mealing, a photographer and videographer based in Newbury, covering Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and beyond! I began my photography journey flying drones back in 2019. Shortly after, I setup my company, DroneEye, to provide commercial drone photography and videography services to a wide variety of clients. Recently, I have begun taking what I have learnt over the past five years of flying drones, often in very challenging environments, into the wonderful world of weddings! I shot my first wedding for Ami and Alex in September 2023 in the historic 15th century Fordwich Town Hall in Kent! I absolutely loved being a part of their special day and capturing natural, candid photos of their intimate wedding, and can't wait to shoot their second wedding celebration at the fabulous Southdowns Manor in March 2024! I am truly passionate about working with my couples to create a collection of images that they will treasure forever. My preferred style is candid, natural, photojournalistic, however, I am always happy to provide direction where it would be additive, such as for group shots, before quickly blending into the background to continue capturing all of the beautiful in-between moments that are so plentiful on a wedding day. Staying true to my roots, drone photography/videography is included in our ultimate collection package and is available as an optional add-on to all other packages (venue and weather permitting).
